Supervision

What is Supervision?

Working under supervision means that a counsellor or psychotherapist uses the services of another counsellor or psychotherapist to review their work with clients, their professional development, and often their personal development as well. Supervision is a professional service, rather than a managerial role, and for counsellors who work in institutions, supervision and management will normally be entirely separate.

Who Needs Supervision?

We provide a safe place to talk to a skilled therapist, who will listen and help you understand how past experiences, worries about the future, or lack of self-confidence may be affecting your life. Therapy can help you reflect on how you respond to events and explore the way you deal with relationships.

You can share your thoughts and feelings which you may not feel able to with friends or family as sometimes having a neutral space to talk can help you work through your difficulties. Your therapist will not tell you what to do, or give advice or guidance but will help you process your thoughts and feelings to make your own choices.

We provide a confidential setting in all our venues. You are free to talk safely, without fear of rejection, criticism or blame. The confidentiality of the relationship between you and your therapist and those seeking Therapy is fully protected within BACP Guidelines for practice.

Remote Supervsion

We offer supervision remotely also this can be through FaceTime or Zoom online sessions or Telephone therapy which ever feels suitable also there is flexibility to use the range of options if necessary.  We understand in the current climate that having the flexibility to have remote supervision is important and this can help fit more around the work life balance of therapists and family life.
